Jace's Pet Page 8

His hands dug into her thighs, his tongue plunging deeper into her. She moaned louder, her legs trembling as he brought her to an orgasm. His tongue gently licked her as she rode out the pleasure he had just given her. She was gasping softly and was only faintly aware of the butterfly kisses he was trailing up her stomach. Her feet touched the floor, her eyes looking down at him as he reached her breasts. She kept her hands off of him, afraid she might let him do more, beg him for more. He licked up a few droplets of water that rolled down her chest.

"Are you still going to deny me?" His tongue rolled over her nipple.

"Yes." She hesitantly slightly, her body craving him.

"Dry off and meet me downstairs." His voice holding some irritation.

He gave her a gentle nip on her collar bone before getting out and drying himself off. She stared at him, her eyes tracing over all the tattoos that covered his body. He pulled on his clothes and left her with the shower still running. She took a deep breath, then pushed herself off the wall and shut the water off.

"What did I just do?" She groaned, embarrassment washing over her.

She shut her eyes tightly, taking another deep breath, and got out of the shower. She grabbed a towel and dried off then took her time getting her clothes back on. Thankfully she was able to find a brush for her hair. She caught her reflection in the mirror, her hair sticking to the sides of her flushed face.

"Just a few more hours." She prepped herself, she was going to leave no matter what.

She let the bathroom, again taking her time to go downstairs. Jace and Raiden were standing in the kitchen, their conversation on what they were going to make for dinner. She didn't want to interrupt them, her teeth nervously chewing her lip as she got closer to them. She noticed each of them had a beer in their hand.

  "Rose, come here."

Jace's eyes were dark and smoldering again, his attention completely on her. She released her lip as she slowly made her way over to him. She noticed Raiden's eyes on her but paid no attention to him. Jace wrapped an arm around her, dragging her body to his.

"What do you want for dinner?"

"I-I don't know." She stared up at him, confused that he even cared.

"Make us something." Raiden chimed in, taking a swig of his beer.

"I think that sounds good." Jace smirked down at her.

  "I-I um-"

"Get cooking." Jace laughed, following Raiden to the living room.

Rose groaned, but started looking in the refrigerator and cabinets for something to make. She came up with meatloaf and mashed potatoes. It's wasn't the greatest, or the fanciest but it was what she could make with what little they had. It didn't take her long to prep the meal and start cooking it. After about a half hour, she started peeling and cutting potatoes as the meat continued to cook. She was surprised that everything came together at about the same time. She let the meatloaf settle before calling Jace and Raiden into the kitchen. She waited for the skeptical looks or negative comments but they never came. They each made a plate and dug in hungrily.

"This is really good!" Raiden smiled, eating the last bit on his plate and making another. "Morgan can't cook worth shit." He laughed.

Rose was a little confused, the meal she made was essentially a poor man's meal. It was nothing special, yet they were eating it up like it was a gourmet meal. She felt a sense of pride, her ego pleased that she was able to make a decent meal. She was even more pleased when the rest of the night went just as smoothly. They watched an action movie that Raiden picked out. Jace kept her on his lap the entire time. Morgan and Axel came down halfway through to grab dinner. After the movie, everyone had decided to go to bed. Jace hadn't tried anything else her, which she was extremely thankful for. She didn't think she would be able to resist him.

Rose had made sure to keep herself up. She watched the clock and listened to Jace's breathing. Around midnight she felt her eyelids getting heavy but managed to fight through the next two hours and very carefully rolled out of bed a few minutes before 2am. She didn't see Morgan in the hallway, but decided to creep softly down the stairs anyway. She spotted the blonde pacing back and forth in the kitchen. Rose stepped into the area and was instantly noticed.

"There you are!" Her voice low but impatient.

"It's not even 2am yet." Rose muttered, Morgan was acting if she was an hour late.

"I know, I know. I was getting worried you wouldn't come."

"Well, I'm here. I want to get away. I need to."

Morgan nodded, both of them walking over to the sliding glass door. Morgan pushed in 4-digit number and pulled open the glass door. The number of things these people were able to accomplish in a few days never ceased to surprise her. They had found a house with furniture, bought basically everything they needed, and set up an alarm system within a day or two. It took her a few weeks to simply move into the house she owned and even after living there for almost a year she didn't have a security system.

"Okay, go!" Morgan spoke to her like she was a dog.

Rose glanced at the woman and ignore the way she spoke. If she was lucky enough for this to work, she wouldn't have to worry about the other woman ever again. She felt her heart begin to pound in her chest. Her hands shaking and her stomach becoming nauseous. She took a few steps toward the door, her eyes on the trees that swayed lightly in the moonlight. She was going to be free, free of Jace and his sexual torture. All of a sudden, her body kicked into gear and she sprinted out the door. She smiled softly as the cool air caressed her skin. As she made her way to the edge of the woods, she heard an odd sound. She knew she shouldn't stop but found her body stilling. She turned her head to look back at Morgan.

Morgan had a smile frozen to her face, her body standing in the doorway. The longer she stared, she started to noticed a dark spot spreading over the woman's chest. The smile that was once on her face dropped to a frown, her hands touching the spot. Rose watched in horror as the woman went to open her mouth and instead of speaking, a thick liquid dripped from her mouth. In the next few seconds, she was falling out of the doorway and onto the hard ground outside. Rose screamed, her eyes connecting with Jace. He wore only a pair of lounge pants, his tattoos on display and a gun with a silencer in one hand. His glare was fixed on her, warning her to come back inside.

She swallowed hard. Morgan was dead. She was outside. She had to run, had to get away. Even if that meant he'd hunt her down and kill her, too. Rose quickly turned her back on him and headed deep into the forest. She dodged trees, pushed past branches, and ignored when twigs scratched at her. She moved as quickly as she possibly could but all the foliage was making it difficult. She didn't want to stop, couldn't stop for fear of being killed, but unfortunately her foot slipped into a knotted tree root and tripped her. She fell face first into the hard ground, her ankle pulsing with pain. She groaned, adrenaline still coursing through her veins. She pushed herself from the ground and forced herself to press forward no matter how much her ankle hurt.

She heard yelling behind her, but it sounded far away. She kept weaving through the trees for as long as she could, her body eventually giving up and collapsing to the forest floor. She remained on her hands and knees, gasping for air. Her ears listened for any kind of sound; footsteps, voices, breathing. She even listened for a gun but heard nothing except for the normal woodsy noises. She breathed a sigh of relief, her small exhausted body curling up at the base of a tree surrounded by a few small bushes. She prayed the bushes would hide her body if they made it as far as she had. Her breathing began to slow and she started drifting off to sleep. In the back of her mind, she knew she should push on but her body was too weak and tired.

Rose woke up to a stiff body, her muscles sore, and her skin chilled. She cracked open her eyes, the giant tree above her blocking most of the rain that was falling from the cloudy gray sky. She remained in place, her muscles adjusting as she started to move. She groaned softly, pushing herself from the d
amp ground. She shivered once she was on her feet, her legs covered in mud and rain water. Her jean shorts dirty and her loose shirt clinging to her body. A sharp pain in her ankle reminded her of her fall. As she let out a sigh, her eyes wondered around the area. Besides the pitter patter of the rain falling on the leaves and ground, it was silent. She tried to run a hand through her hair, but fresh knots prevented her fingers from combing through.

She needed to get moving, her body gradually stepping forward. She kept most of her weight off her sore ankle as she limped onward. She kept looking behind her, afraid someone was following her. It made her palms sweaty and her heart race. She swallowed hard, her stomach grumbling softly. She cursed herself for not planning better, she had wanted to but Morgan had given her the perfect opportunity to escape. Rose's mind brought up the imagine of Morgan's blood oozing from her chest and mouth. She couldn't believe Jace had shot her. She didn't even hear anyone come down the stairs. Guilt washed over her, she was the reason Morgan was dead. She didn't really care for the woman, but that didn't mean she deserved to die.

Rose continued to push though the rain while her mind wondered. She wasn't really sure how long she had been walking or what time it was. The dark sky was making it hard to tell and the rain never let up. The mud was now gone from her clothes and skin but she was completely soaked from head to toe. It wasn't cold out, but the water and lack of clothes made her shiver. Her stomach had rumbled again, adding to her growing concerns. She had no idea where she was or where she was heading. She hadn't even thought about where she would go once she escaped. She didn't know if she was heading toward a town or heading deeper into the forest. She was sure what was worse. Jace or the forest.

She groaned, her body rapidly draining of energy. She had been walking for hours already with no sign of a road, house, or person. She hadn't heard anyone behind her and after another hour or so her eyelids began to dip. Her blinks lasting longer and eventually making her fall to the forest floor again. She curled up under a patch of bushes, the leaves blocking most of the rain. It wasn't dry, but it would do for now. She only needed to rest for a little.

The second time she woke up, she was completely soaked and colder than before. It had stopped raining but there were clouds blocking the sun. She whimpered softly, her body sore and grimy. She rolled herself out from under the bush and continued her long journey forward. Again, she walked for hours. Her legs started to grow weak and she was feeling light headed. She found herself leaning against trees more often, her ankle screaming with pain. She was about to collapse and sit for a while when she noticed a wall of horizontal trees. It confused her until she readjusted her eyes, her mind putting the imagine and thought together. It wasn't trees, it was the wall to a cabin. Her heart skipped a beat, her numb legs carrying her the last couple of feet to wall. She placed both hands on it, afraid it was a mirage. Her felt a twinge of a small pull at her lips, her feet hastily bringing her to the porch of the cabin.

"Help!" Her voice came out dry, cracked, and far too quiet.

She forced herself up the steps to the front door. As she came closer, she swallowed hard in attempt to soothe her throat. She raised her fist to the door, her tongue gliding over her lips and parting to yell once more.

"Hello?" She knocked hard of the door. "Please help me!" Her voice clear and loud now.

Her hand stilled, her ears listening carefully for a voice, footsteps, or any kind of noise. She licked her lips a second time, her knuckles rasping on the wooden door. Her heart racing in anticipation.

  "Hello?"

Rose started to feel hopeless, she didn't hear a single thing. She debated on seeing if the door was open, if she could go inside. Even for a few minutes. Her hand was trembling as it reached for the handle. Her teeth sunk into her lip and as she touched the cool metal she heard a creak. She yanked her hand back, her body stumbling back a few steps, and a tiny squeak escaping her mouth.

"Who the hell is it!" A woman's voice belted out from behind the door.

Rose panicked, she hadn't thought about the person inside being unfriendly. She took another step back, her eyes widening. She was about to turn around and run off when the door came swinging open to reveal a heavy-set, middle-aged woman. Her gray hair was frizzy and hanging past her shoulders in a long braid. She had a deep scowl on her face, but as her light brown eyes looked Rose up and down her expression softened.

"Darlin'-" Her voice trailed off and she took a step toward her. "What in the world happened to ya?"

Rose felt her eyes tingle, her lids brimming with tears. Relief washed over her despite her heart hammering away inside her rib cage.

"He-Help me." She whimpered, limping forward. "I don't know where I am."

  "Come inside, Darlin'."

The woman closed the gap between them, a heavy arm wrapping around Rose's slim shoulders and leading her inside the cabin. Her shivering body warming slightly once the door was closed.

"Did you get lost?" The woman brought her to the kitchen and had her sit at the table.

She turned around and dug into a nearby closest. When she came back, she had a thick wool blanket and covered Rose.

  "I-I was kidnapped." She mumbled.

"What?" The woman glanced at her while she boiled water. "Who kidnapped ya?"

"Three men and a woman." She felt tears push at her eyes. "Well, there was a woman."

  "Was she kidnapped, too?"

"No, she was part of their group."

"What happened to her?" She poured the water into a mug, then added honey and a tea bag.

"He- He killed her." Her eyes spaced out on the floor, a tear spilling over and racing down her cheek. "She helped me escape. And he killed her."

"It's alright, calm down." Her voice was soft, the mug in her hand. "Here, Darlin'. Drink this, then have a nice shower. You're safe now. Ya relax tonight, then tomorrow mornin' I'll take ya into town."

The woman set the tea on the table and took a seat next to her. Rose gently picked up the mug, it warmed her hands and she could faintly smell peppermint. She cautiously took a sip of the steaming tea and let it warm her belly as well. She slowly sipped at the tea until it was gone, her body already feeling much better. The woman sitting next to her quietly sat with her, a mug of tea in front of her as well. The moment Rose finished her tea, the woman stood up.

"I'll show ya to the shower."

Rose stayed silent as she followed the woman to the second floor of the cabin. The gray-haired lady pushed open a door and flipped the light switch to reveal a decent sized bathroom.

"Right is hot, left is cold. In the closet are fresh towels. I'll see if I can find ya some clothes and I'll put them outside the door for when you’re done." She paused, her eyes finding Rose and a smile on her lips. "The room at the end of the hall is the guest bed, you can sleep there."

  "Thank you." Rose smiled softly.

"By the way, my name is Molly."

"My name is Rose." She smiled wider.

"Nice to meet ya Rose. Wish it was better circumstances."

Molly left the bathroom on that, shutting the door behind her. Rose started the shower and allowed the water to warm while she took her clothes off. She plopped her shirt, shorts, and undergarments in the corner then made her way to the shower. The stream of water burned her cold skin, her hand grasping at the knobs to readjust. She rinsed the mud and rainwater from her hair before scrubbing it with the shampoo she found. It was macaroon rose scent, a lovely sweet smell. The conditioner matched the shampoo, filling her nostrils yet again with the wonderful smell. She closed her eyes for a moment to enjoy the water and was shocked to her core to see Jace's eyes in her mind. Those gray eyes dark and burning with fury. She snapped her eyes open, a shiver running through her. She quickly turned the water off and wrapped her arms around her body. After a few minutes, she grabbed a towel, dried off, and covered herself with it. She stepped over to the door and pulled it open to find a pile of folded clothe
s with a small note. She picked everything up and read what the woman had written.

These should fit you, they belonged to my daughter. You can keep them.

  -Molly

She smiled, Molly was a very sweet woman. She briefly wondered where her daughter was but pushed it out of her mind. She brought the clothes into the bathroom and dropped her towel. There wasn't a bra or underwear, only a hot pink V-neck and black plaid lounge pants. The shirt was snug but the pants hung loosely on her hips. It was comfortable enough, much better than her dirty clothes. She hung up her clothes and towel then found a brush by the sink. When she finally finished, she was exhausted. Her stomach growled, but she didn't have the nerve to ask Molly for more than she had already offered. Instead, she found her way to the room Molly mentioned.

The room was small, but cozy. It was simply decorated with a bed, dresser, nightstand, and a cushy chair. In the center of the wood flooring was a circular rug, an intricate pattern covering it. She crawled into the twin sized bed positioned in the corner of the room. There was a window nearby that let in some moon light, like a nature night light. She was thankful for the soft blue glow, she didn't want to be trapped in darkness. It took a while for her to fall asleep, her anxiety spiking every time she closed her eyes. She finally fell asleep when she could no longer open her eyes, slumber taking over.
